Pallet quantities by product

Brick type pcs/pallet approx. wall m² / pallet* approx. pallet weight**
Porotherm 30 N+F 80 pcs 5.0 m² about 1,070 kg
Porotherm 38 N+F 60 pcs 3.8 m² about 1,020 kg
Porotherm 44 X-therm 50 pcs 3.1 m² about 970 kg
Porotherm 25 N+F 60 pcs 5.6 m² about 1,000 kg
Porotherm 10 N+F (partition) 96 pcs (ground: 100 pcs) 12.0 m² about 940 kg
B30 block brick 184–196 pcs (manufacturer-dependent) 5.1–5.6 m² manufacturer-dependent
Standard solid brick 360–448 pcs (manufacturer-dependent) 6.9–8.6 m² (12 cm wall) manufacturer-dependent
Ytong Classic P2-0,5 (30 cm) 40 pcs 4.8 m² about 920 kg

* Bricks/pallet ÷ bricks/m², rounded to one decimal; solid-brick figures assume a 12 cm half-brick wall. At 25 cm thickness (102–104 pcs/m²), one pallet covers only about 3.5–4.4 m². ** Unit weight × quantity, using Classic weights and excluding the pallet; Porotherm neo versions are lighter (e.g. 30 N+F neo: 12 kg/unit, about 960 kg/pallet). Why do B30 and solid-brick pallet quantities differ by manufacturer?

Porotherm and Ytong are each supplied by a single manufacturer in uniform packs, giving a fixed pallet quantity. The B30 block bricks and solid bricks are made by several factories, each using its own packing method. There is no single standard. Some suppliers also assemble smaller split packs, such as 140 or 168 B30 units. Check the product sheet or supplier quotation before ordering.

How many m² of wall does a pallet cover?

The formula is simple: bricks/pallet ÷ bricks/m² = wall m² per pallet. Find the quantities required for 1 m² in the bricks per square metre guide. A few examples:

  • Porotherm 30 N+F: 80 pcs ÷ 16 pcs/m² = 5.0 m²
  • B30 (Bakonytherm): 196 pcs ÷ 35 pcs/m² = 5.6 m²
  • Solid bricks, 12 cm wall (Leier): 360 pcs ÷ 52 pcs/m² = about 6.9 m²
  • Ytong Classic (30 cm): 40 pcs ÷ 8.33 pcs/m² = about 4.8 m²

It also works backwards: 100 m² of Porotherm 30 N+F walls need 100 × 16 = 1,600 bricks, so 1,600 ÷ 80 = 20 pallets. The Calculator automatically deducts openings, adds reserve and rounds pallets upwards.

Pallet deposits: what to expect

Brick pallets carry a deposit, charged on purchase and refunded when an undamaged pallet is returned. Wienerberger's 2026 Porotherm price list and supplier lists state the deposit as about 6,500 HUF + VAT per pallet; other manufacturers and suppliers may charge different amounts. Ask about return deadlines, pallet condition and return transport before ordering; deposits for 15–20 pallets can be substantial.

Delivery tip: request a crane truck

A pallet of masonry units often weighs nearly a tonne and cannot be moved by hand. Order crane truck: the driver places pallets by crane where needed, reducing repeated handling and breakage risk. First check vehicle access and crane reach; tell your supplier about narrow streets or overhead cables. Delivery is more economical if you order the full quantity together.
